A website led by Anglia’s own photographs and films

Anglia Interiors has designed, supplied and fitted kitchens, bedrooms and home offices from its showroom in Huntingdon since 1974, and it is still run by the same family.

We designed and built their new website: a calm, confident site led by Anglia’s own photographs and films, where every page leads to the same next step, a design visit. It went live on 30 September 2026.

The Anglia Interiors homepage: Kitchens made properly, since 1974, over a kitchen from the showroom

Overview

A fitted kitchen is bought on trust. People want to see the rooms, meet the people and know the business will still be there afterwards. Anglia has fifty years of all three, so the job of the design was to show them and then get out of the way.

We designed every page and built the whole site: kitchens, bedrooms, home offices, the showroom, the team, a gallery, customer films and reviews, and a blog of 57 articles. Nothing on it is invented. Every line of copy and every photograph is Anglia’s own.

The Bedrooms page, opening on fitted wardrobes and a dressing table
The Showroom page: Anglia House, Stone Hill
The gallery, room by room, every photograph a real Anglia installation
The homepage on a phone: Kitchens made properly, since 1974, with a green Book a design visit button

The design

One typeface, a paper-coloured page and Anglia’s green, used as a fill on the buttons and never as text, where it would be too faint to read. No rules, no dividers, no small labels above the headings. The photographs do the work, and each one is a real Anglia installation or a range on the showroom floor.

The films are Anglia’s too. One plays quietly behind the homepage headline, and the film made for the fiftieth anniversary sits in the corner of the screen until you close it. The menu opens into a page of its own: every room on the left, the showroom’s address and hours in the middle, and two customer films on the right.

The films

We made the films as well. Shot in the showroom and in customers’ own kitchens, they show how Anglia works and talk through the choices every buyer faces: doors, handles, worktops, lighting. The site puts them to work, behind the homepage headline, in the menu and on a page of their own.

Research, content, film and social

  • Behavioural research into customer buying habits
  • New photography and vibrant filmed case studies
  • Optimised content to improve sales conversions to their website
  • Social Media advertising campaigns to increase brand exposure and bookings
  • Utilising the client's network we arranged for key representatives from partners to be filmed to help promote the brand and increase visibility

The build

We built the site as plain, fast pages. On launch day the homepage was half the weight of the one it replaced and answered in a fifth of a second.

Nothing Anglia had earned in search was allowed to slip. All 57 articles came across word for word at the addresses they already had. Every other page kept its address or passes visitors on in a single step, and on launch day all 106 addresses from the old site were checked and answered. Every page gained a description for search results, where the old site had none, and the homepage now gives Google the business’s name, address, phone number and opening hours in a form it can read.

Simon Baghomian, Creative Director & Founder, Ideate Partners

Anglia is a family business with a long history, and handing us their website took trust. We designed every page, built the site and made the films, and let their own photographs lead. Protecting their place in search mattered to me as much as the look. It’s been a real pleasure.
