Web design for organisations in Milton Keynes by a senior team based in Bedford
Ideate Partners is a full-service, human-centred marketing and design agency. We design and build websites around how your customers actually decide, so they understand you quickly, trust what they see and know what to do next.
How a new website comes together
Five stages, and nothing is built until you’ve agreed the plan.
Websites we have designed and built include Anglia Interiors, HCML, Staffline and Cambourne.

Listen: We talk to the people who choose or support you, to learn what they need to understand and what makes them hesitate.
Plan: We map the pages and the routes through them, and agree what each page needs to say before design starts.
Design: We turn the key pages into a working prototype, test it with real users where we can, and refine it with you.
Build: We build light pages that open quickly, and give each one a clear title and description for Google.
Launch and improve: We launch, measure what visitors actually do, and keep working on the pages that aren’t pulling their weight.

More than pages
Some sites need more than pages, such as a search tool or a client portal.
Questions we are asked
Are you a Milton Keynes web design agency?
No. We’re in Bedford and work with organisations in Milton Keynes and across the UK. If being down the road matters most to you, a local agency may suit you better, and that’s fine.
How much do agencies charge for a website?
The price follows the decisions more than the page count: how much thinking and writing the site needs, how bespoke the design is, and what it has to connect to. Without your brief, any figure we gave you would be a guess. The guide below takes each decision in turn.
How long does a new website take?
It depends on how many pages you need, how much writing there is, and whether you need more than pages, such as a search tool or a client portal. We’ll give you a timeline once we understand the brief, and we won’t rush the thinking to hit a date.
Will the site help us show up in local searches?
It gives you a sound start. Anglia Interiors’ new homepage, for example, now tells Google the business’s name, address and opening hours in a form it can read. The map results lean heavily on your Google Business Profile, so keep that up to date too. Ranking well locally then takes steady SEO work after launch, a service of its own.
What is the 3 second rule in web design?
It’s a rule of thumb rather than a measured law: a first-time visitor decides almost at once whether a page is for them. So the first screen has to say what you do, who it’s for and what to do next. To test yours, show the homepage to someone new for five seconds, then ask them those three things.
“We’re a small, senior team, so the people shaping the strategy are the ones creating the work.”
