Website redesign or rebuild for organisations that have outgrown their site
When your website no longer sounds like you, brings in too few enquiries or is a chore to update, a redesign or rebuild should fix the cause, not just the look. We start with how the people you serve choose, keep what already works in search, and hand over a site your team can run.
How we redesign your website
Most sites don’t fail all at once. The business moves on, the offer grows, and the website stays where it was.
Websites we have redesigned and rebuilt include Anglia Interiors, Staffline, HCML, Cambourne and Wessex Water.

Understand what isn’t working: We review your current site and what visitors do on it, and talk to the people who buy from you.
Keep what already works: Before anything moves, we list the pages and addresses that bring visitors from search, so each one is kept or redirected.
Fix the message and structure: Page structure and the words come before the visuals. If the message isn’t right, design can’t fix it.
Design and build: A fast, accessible site shaped around how people decide, built so your team can add pages without breaking the layout.
Launch, check and improve: We launch, check that the old addresses land in the right place, then keep improving what isn’t working.
Signs your website needs a redesign
- 01
It doesn’t sound like you any more
The business has changed and the site still describes the old one, so you hesitate to send people to it.
- 02
Visitors leave without getting in touch
People arrive, but the value isn’t clear and the next step isn’t obvious, so the enquiries don’t follow.
- 03
Updating it is a job in itself
Simple changes need a developer, so the content goes stale and the news never makes it on.
- 04
The proof is buried
Your best work and your people are hard to find, so a sceptical buyer has little to go on.
- 05
It’s slow or awkward on a phone
A site that loads slowly or breaks on a small screen loses people before they read a word.
- 06
You’re not sure what to change
If you can feel it isn’t working but can’t say why, that is exactly where research helps.
From what buyers told us to two new websites.
We interviewed the intermediaries who recommend and buy HCML’s corporate health services. What they told us shaped both websites.
We delivered a WordPress rebuild that repositioned HCML around both its corporate health and rehabilitation offerings, then a full relaunch. For insurers and solicitors, who choose by location and specialism first, we added a case manager finder.

Do we need a redesign or a rebuild?
Which you need depends less on how the site looks than on what it’s built on. A redesign is new structure, words and design, usually on the platform you already have. A rebuild is a new site on new foundations: a new platform or new code, as well as a new design.
Can we redesign without losing our place in Google?
You can, if the move is planned. Beyond the redirects, the things that are easy to miss are titles and descriptions that worked, a site still hidden from search engines after testing, forms and analytics that stop recording, and a sitemap that never reaches Search Console.
What happens to the content we already have?
We go through it with you before any design starts, because the words and structure come first. What still works stays, what no longer says what you do is rewritten, and what you have outgrown is let go.
How much does a website redesign cost?
It depends on a handful of decisions more than on the number of pages: how much content needs writing, the features, the platform, and how much search value the move has to protect. A redesign isn’t automatically cheaper than a new site.
What if the website isn’t the problem?
Sometimes the site is fine and the positioning is the problem. The business has evolved and the message hasn’t. A new look would only restate the confusion in a nicer typeface. When that’s what we find, we say so, and start with the positioning and messaging instead.
“Anglia is a family business with a long history, and handing us their website took trust. We designed every page, built the site and made the films, and let their own photographs lead. Protecting their place in search mattered to me as much as the look. It’s been a real pleasure.”
