Website design that starts with how people choose
We design and build websites for businesses of every size, charities and the public sector. Before we draw a page, we find out how the people you want to reach search, compare and decide.
How we design your website
Whoever your visitors are, they arrive with a question, compare you with the alternatives and look for a reason to trust you. Some pass it on to someone else, who reads it cold.
Websites we have designed include Staffline, HCML, Sava, the United Nations Development Programme’s Peoples’ Climate Vote, Juju and Anglia Interiors.

Discovery and research: We get to know your organisation and the people it serves, and talk to them about how they search, compare and choose.
Structure and content: Website strategy, page structure and the words come before the visuals. If the message isn’t right, design can’t fix it.
Design for decision: UX and visual design shaped around how people think, compare, trust and choose, tested before we build.
Build: A fast, accessible site your team can keep up to date without breaking the layout.
Launch and improve: We launch, measure what visitors do, and keep improving what isn’t working.
Websites we have designed
What a good website has to do
- 01
Explain the value quickly
In your visitors’ words rather than yours, so the difference between you and the alternatives is plain.
- 02
Give enough proof
Case studies, people, reviews and evidence that reassure the person who wasn’t in the first conversation.
- 03
Make the next step obvious
One clear next step on every page, so visitors know what to do and feel sure about doing it.
- 04
Designed from research
We talk to the people who will use the site, find the patterns and prototype against them before anything is signed off.
- 05
Search built in
SEO and search-led content are part of the build, not a bolt-on.
- 06
Easy to keep up to date
Your team adds pages and edits copy inside the design, without breaking the layout.
From the first page to launch day.
HCML is one of the UK's leading providers of rehabilitation, case management, occupational health and workplace wellbeing, work that lives or dies on trust.
We delivered a WordPress rebuild that repositioned HCML around both its corporate health and rehabilitation offerings, then a full relaunch this year that carries the brand forward. And for the rehabilitation side, where insurers and solicitors choose by location and specialism first, we built an interactive case manager finder at search.hcml.co.uk, letting them filter HCML’s case managers by location, profession, specialism and region and shortlist the right expert in seconds.

Questions we are asked
How long does a website take?
Mostly it comes down to how ready the words and pictures are, and how quickly decisions are made. Waiting for content is a common cause of delay, so it is worth settling before the design starts.
Do you work with WordPress?
Yes. HCML’s first new website with us was a WordPress rebuild.
What if we already have a website?
Some people come to us with no website at all, and some with one that has stopped working for them. If you already have a site, the first job is keeping what it has earned in search before anything moves.
Who will we work with?
Simon and Hayley, the two directors. Because we are a small, senior team, you work directly with the people shaping the strategy, asking the right questions and creating the work.

“Through well thought out ideation they gave us a solid website that reflected our positioning as the largest provider of blue-collar workers in the UK, and immediately increased both traffic and job applications. I would highly recommend Ideate Partners.”
