Web design in Bedford built around the people you need to reach
We’re a small, senior team at Bedford Heights, working with organisations across Bedfordshire and further afield. We find out how your customers actually decide, then design and build a website that makes the value clear from the first screen.
How we design your website
A website that looks credible but doesn’t explain the value is one of the most common problems we’re brought in to fix.
Websites we’ve designed close to home include Paris House, a restaurant here in Bedfordshire, and Anglia Interiors, a family firm a short drive away in Huntingdon.

Discovery: We get to know your business, your market and the people you need to reach.
Structure and content: We plan the pages, the journey through them and what each one has to say, so the site explains the value clearly.
Design: We design the look and the key pages, test them against how your customers decide, and refine before we build.
Build: We build a site that you can update yourself, with search built in from the start.
Launch and improve: We launch, measure what visitors do, and keep improving what isn’t working.

Shot in the showroom and in customers’ own kitchens.
Anglia Interiors is a family business that has fitted kitchens, bedrooms and home offices from a Huntingdon showroom since 1974.
We designed and built its new site, which went live on 30 September 2026, and made the films on it. Shot in the showroom and in customers’ own kitchens, they talk through the choices every buyer faces, from doors and handles to worktops and lighting.

Questions we are asked
Is Bedford the only place you work?
No. Bedford is home, but we work with organisations across Bedfordshire, Milton Keynes, Northamptonshire and the wider UK.
What will a website cost, and how long will it take?
Both turn on the same few things: how much research and writing the pages need, how much of the design is drawn for you alone, how ready your words and photographs are, and whether the site needs a working tool, such as a search or a booking form, as well as pages. An Intro with Ideate, our free 60 minute consultation, is a good place to talk it through, and the guide below goes into cost in more detail.
Will a new website help us get found in Bedford?
It helps, though it’s only part of the job. The site should tell Google plainly who you are, what you do and where. On the Anglia Interiors site, every page has its own description for search results, and the homepage gives Google the name, address, phone number and opening hours in a form it can read. The map at the top of a local search draws on your Google Business Profile, and rising for busy searches takes SEO work after launch.
Who writes the words on the pages?
Whichever suits you. We can write them for you, or build the site around words and photographs you already have.
“A good web design agency starts with your customers and your goals, not with a template, and leaves you with a site that explains what you do and makes the next step obvious. Ask to see the thinking behind the design, not just the look.”
