Brochure and print design that makes your offer easier to understand

A brochure, a report or an exhibition stand is there to help someone decide. We start with who that is and what they need to know, then design it in the same brand as your website, so every piece tells the same story.

How we design print

Five steps, from who will read it to the finished piece.

Print we have designed includes work for HCML, Bush & Co, Conergy, Sava, Cambourne, Pure Resourcing, Juju and the GLAA.

Conergy's Building towards a brighter future brochure, written for farmers, landowners and the community, its cover and three spreads laid at an angle on stone
Staffline's annual report photographed on blue, Enabling the future of work on its cover
Two of our routes for Leica Geosystems’ anniversary campaign laid side by side: a press advert of a man kneeling in a field, and an A4 advert in red and white
An open Pure Resourcing Solutions brochure, a page curling over the spread headed We like the way you tick
Four of the folder inserts we designed for Bush & Co, laid out as final artwork with their print marks: Assessments, Case Management, Expert Witness and Pain Management

Find out who it’s for: We find out who will read it and what they need before they act.

Set the message and the brand: Positioning, messages and brand guidelines come first, so every piece says the same thing in the same voice.

Show you the routes: We present a few creative concepts, then refine the one you choose to final artwork.

Make the pictures and the words: Photography, illustration and copy, made for the piece.

Artwork, print and handover: We prepare the final artwork, and leave templates where your team will make more pieces.

Print made for the people who use it

We start with people. Always.

  1. 01

    Research before the first layout

For Bush & Co we interviewed staff, case managers, expert witnesses, solicitors and insurers before a single design.

  2. 02

One brand, on paper and on screen

Brand guidelines keep the look the same everywhere it appears. HCML’s identity works as hard in print as on screen.

  3. 03

    A suite from one study

After a behavioural study and a brand sprint, we built HCML’s identity, then sales decks, info packs, infographics, brochures and an exhibition stand.

  4. 04

    Stands for the show floor

We’ve designed exhibition stands for HCML and Bush & Co.

  5. 05

Templates your team can keep using

For Sayfa Systems we rolled out templates for brochures, case studies, e-shots and newsletters, so their team could carry on with their own marketing.

  6. 06

Launch material for shops and press

For Maxell’s headphones the brand went onto in-store point of sale, sales material, press packs and packaging.

Annual and impact reports, in print or on screen.

A yearly report has to back up what you say about yourself, in a way people want to read.

Anthony Collins Solicitors publish a yearly social impact report to show the work they do and the clients they support. They asked us to help move it away from a long printed report towards a digital publication. We helped pull together the design of the print and digital assets, the photography and the printing, and the numbers became short messages and inviting statistics.

Questions about print

How much does brochure or print design cost, and how long does it take?

Both depend on the job: how many pages or pieces, whether it needs new photography or illustration, how many people need to review it, and whether we manage the printing. We’d rather give you an honest figure once we understand the brief than a guess now. The Intro with Ideate is a free 60 minute conversation where we can talk it through.

Can you look after the printing too?

We have done. For Anthony Collins Solicitors we helped pull together the design, photography and printing so everything was ready for launch. Tell us what you need and we’ll say honestly whether it makes sense for us to manage it.

Should our report be printed or digital?

It depends on who reads it and where, and we’ll give you an honest view on what suits your readers. Anthony Collins Solicitors asked us to help move their yearly report from print to a digital publication.

Can our own team make new pieces once you’ve finished?

Yes, if that suits you. Once Sayfa Systems had their brand guidelines, we made templates for their brochures, case studies, e-shots and newsletters, so their team could carry on from there.

Ask us something else

“And then there’s the office artwork, which still stops people in their tracks. Clients and staff feel lifted every time they see it. It’s the small things that give it away: the thought behind the tiniest details, the subtle branding through the office, the signage, even the merchandise. For a while there it honestly felt like we were working for the best company in the world. This is work that deserves to win awards.”
